What is the first thing that comes to mind when I ask, “What is the coolest thing about summer?” Is it the open sunroof on a drive along the coast? Extra time with family? A day-trip to the San Juan Islands? All of these things sound great, by my hope for you is the coolest thing on all of these adventures is your cooler!
Even though we’d been planning to get pregnant, I hadn’t thought a lot about running my business and taking care of a newborn. Was self-employed maternity leave possible? I wanted the freedom to recover and bond with my baby. But I wasn’t sure how my small business would survive.

For me, an outdoorsy mom with a baby is any gal who has young children and loves maintaining an active lifestyle outside. That’s what this post is about.
