Exploring St. Edwards park in Kenmore WA

St. Edwards in Kenmore WA

Funky and old, there is an eerie beauty to St. Edwards State Park in Kenmore, Washington. Formerly home to a seminary, the large estate is now open to the public. At its center stands the former seminary building. Placed on the National Historic Register in 2007, much of the stunning structure isn’t open to the public. In fact, the majority of it is in varying states of disrepair.

If you have the chance to explore, you’ll find former classrooms piled high with old school desks. You’ll find peeling ceilings and cracked mirrors. You’ll find dormitories painted blue and pink and yellow – the color slowly falling from wall to floor.

This is the kind of place meant for the daring. It’s the kind of spot where adventurous get married. It’s the kind of place where you sneak kisses in long hallways and laugh over stolen moments.
